Claudia is a uk-based independent film maker making films since 1995. She made 'Give us space' from 2012 to 2014. Since then she organized several community and activist events to show the film and to create awareness and action. Claudia works in an experimental and poetic approach to images and sounds, filming and editing on her own, working on low budgets, without a crew; she is dedicated to use video as a tool for social change and also for healing. Claudia also works as a freelancer, filming and editing, working with charities, artists and various causes. She continues making her own personal independent films. Her most recent project is called The soul journey. See it at Claudia's website

TEAM and COLLABORATIONS

FILM MAKING

Music

For the music we are lucky to collaborate with the band

52 Commercial Road, the underground independent post-rock group living and playing in occupied spaces, bringing their deep atmospheres into the film. And Ed Cox, the original clowncore artist playing his raving accordean and beats!

We are proud to collaborate with local independent artists. Click the links above to check their websites and listen/buy their music.

Graffiti | Art

Very pleased with the inspiring collaboration with talented painter/graffiti artist mORGANICo who paints murals, portraits, skate parks, arts clubs and walls around London! MORGANICO painted a graffiti for Give us Space at Leake Street tunnel in April 2014.

He has also been helping and collaborating with design stuff and DVD covers.

Dance and Poetry

Other artists collaborating with Give us Space: dancer/coreographer Jiska Morgenthal, performed a moving last dance in East London before moving abroad. We filmed activist poet Pete the Temp in the exhibition Made possible by Squatting, with a poem inspired by his life squatting and the need of space for change!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who contributed with interviews for the documentary
